Welcome to the website for the British comedy drama Kicking Off. a series about Heaton Stanley junior football club, the worlds unluckiest team. as well as many belly laughs and some crazy characters, the film will also tackle some of the serious issues that threaten grassroots football. Meet Jim the chairman, who has dreams of building a super club, young players Lennon and Fin who both struggle with being accepted for their sexuality. Nigel Junior, a man with a learning disability who never got his dream of playing for the club he loves. plus many other funny characters that go to make the most important film in the history of grassroots football.

SPORTING LEGEND JOINS THE CAST OF KICKING OFF

Olympic legend Eddie The Eagle Edwards has joined the cast of the movie Kicking Off. Eddie will play himself in the comedy, coming in to help out of favour football coach Clive Long, played by Mark Holland. Filming will take place in North Wales around May time of 2019. Director Lee Howard said, I have worked with many wonderful people from the world of comedy, music and television, but this one is going to be special, Eddie is a true legend. a movie was made about Eddie's achievements starring Hugh Jackman in 2016.
